. . . Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

~Amos 5:4

Vision: To inspire and encourage participation by the congregation in local, national, and global issues promoting peace, human rights, economic justice and eco-justice.

Mission: To build awareness, educate and take action on issues focused on creating fair and just economies and healthier communities.

See the “Our Organization” listing to see whom to contact to connect with the Social Justice committee (look under “Programs and Service Committees”), or ask at the office.

Church members and friends are welcomed to attend the meetings or to suggest issues of interest. Meeting times and locations are listed on the FUUSE Calendar. The Committee also welcomes ideas for collaborations with Religious Education, a Coffee Hour tabling topic, or the subject for a church service or program.

There are about fifteen working members. The committee functions using a focus group structure whereby members choose a specific area of interest and then bring forth ways to educate and/or promote action among church members and friends, and community members.
